Cincinnati Bengals -2 ½ (Ladbrokes)
First of all, lets get the negatives out of the way. As you have probably read in the Chargers-Bengals thread, all the historical stats are against The Bengals, including a 0-13 against west coast teams. I feel all these stats are distorted some what as this is a better Bengal team than the last 10 years, also this San Deigo team could be the worst The Bengals have met in that period. Their only inexplicable loss has been to Arizona, which Captain quite rightly points out as a reason to oppose them. However, there is not a team in the NFL that has not had a loss that could have been expected, that’s what gambling’s all about.
This game is very similar to the Bears- Lions game I posted a couple of Weeks ago. In that game The Bears could only lose through bad play, which they did and what I didn’t account for, pathetic coaching.
The Bengals go into this game the better team, more consistant, more confident than a Chargers team having a poor season and with injuries in every department.
The Bengals running game has taken away the need for Kitna to take chances and turn the ball over, something The Chargers have to have to win this game. Even if The Chargers are successful on offense, they will not be able to keep up with the score due to their lack of players at WR.
Good Luck for the Weekend.
My quote of the Week
Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.
